Our vision is to facilitate a community where people can feel relaxed and included whilst learning, getting the help and support they need, and making the world we live in a better place.
Recent research has confirmed what we already know from our own experiences and those of our friends and family. It has shown that mid life, i.e. from circa 40 to 65 years of age, can be quite tumultuous for women. During this time we’re not only dealing with biological changes, we’re often dealing with work, family, illness, death, securing finances and reaching personal goals too.
Mid Life Thriving is all about getting ourselves into the best possible position physically and mentally, and learning to deal effectively with whatever comes our way. The programme is online, so you can join us from wherever you are.
Initially we start by learning techniques to manage our thoughts and basic principles of nutrition to support that. These are foundation steps to proactively managing confidence, life, health and happiness.
People who proactively do this, typically have fewer health problems, more energy and find time to focus on things that are important to them, creating a sense of empowerment, capability, confidence and peace.
We support you to unlock possibilities and make the changes you dream of - the changes you need to thrive. We offer a vibrant, interactive, immersive and fun 3 month programme with its roots firmly planted in cutting edge science, wisdom and the benefits of community spirit and strength.

We run Insight Sessions 3 or 4 times each year in advance of a new cohort on our Fundamentals programme. These sessions are online and last for a couple of hours.
You are welcome to come along even if you are just intrigued, there is no pressure or obligation to join the Fundamentals Programme. We hope you will take away a little valuable learning too.

Conventional and traditional techniques from other courses and therapies like CBT and mindfulness seemed to make sense but never worked or stuck. For Academy Sessions we ask that you commit to a minimum of 3 months at a time, unless you join us just for occasional sessions on an ad hoc basis. We recognise that you’ll have different demands on your time over time, so you can choose what works for you now, and change that in the future.
The Fundamentals Programme is the foundation from which all other learning builds and we’ll ensure, even if you aren’t able to join us every week, that you feel included and can fully benefit from any sessions you attend.

Erica Gibbon is a functional medicine practitioner and nutritional therapist with a special interest in mental health, healthy ageing and the mind-body connection. She is passionate about helping people to enjoy every stage of life and do what they never thought was possible.
Sophie Carvin built a corporate career in people development and now practises as a Confidence Coach helping people recognise the influence they have over their own lives, helping them unlock their potential. She is also a Positive Intelligence coach.
